Oder: Kam Jules Verne bis Halifax?

Leaving PEI, heading to Cape Breton

On Saturday August 3rd we had to say Good Bye to Glenda and Alan, after enjoying another delicious lunch meal prepared by Glenda: this time we had home-slaughtered beef with home-grown vegetables, and the dessert was home-made ice cream!

Back on the road again, we formed a convoy together with Brian and Lucy, this time choosing the Confederation Bridge to leave PEI.

We had decided to stop at the famous Hopewell Rocks (aka Flower Pot Rocks) to experience yet another amazing view on the Bay of Fundy.

We spent the night at a hotel near Amherst. On the next morning we went on heading to Cape Breton, but stopped for a soup and sandwich at Masstown Market.  At tea time we arrived at the Canso Causeway that connects the island of Cape Breton with the main land of Nova Scotia, but before we passed it we stopped at Katja's Coastal Café to have tea or coffee and cake – but I should rather use the german words "Kaffee und Kuchen", because they served german-style home-made cake, including a real "Bienenstich"! Later on we were allowed to view the pictures and other products made by native artists in the Art Gallery next door. I said we were allowed to because usually the art gallery is closed on sundays – but Brian is well-known there, and so they made it possible.
